Johan Hedlin resigns as CEO for InternetBay

by Lisa Lundgren on August 13, 2010

After seven years as the CEO for InternetBay, Johan Hedlin has decided to resign. He chooses to focus on his own firm Hedlin AB

-This summer an opportunity arose which was too good to turn down, Johan Hedlin says.

Thomas Brännström, Chairman, has together with the rest of the board started the recruitment of a new CEO for InternetBay. Hedlin takes his leave in the middle of October.

-The time I have left will be dedicated to securing everything which is in progress at InternetBay. This entails among other things a marketing campaign, an export project, three project applications for business development projects, two InternetBay Business Events, and last but not least a whole new InternetBay PartneringEvent.

According to Hedlin the timing is suitable for a CEO change.

- My successor will have the opportunity to leave his or her mark on the operation which is now under development. Personally I have had seven amazingly fun, exciting, challenging and developing years at InternetBay. I have also had the pleasure of working with a large number of highly skilled, competent, interesting and exciting individuals.

In Hedlin AB Johan will work as a business consultant and project manager/leader for the account of his clients. He will also develop some completely new operations.

-I want to move on and focus on my own company for my own personal development, Johan Hedlin says who’s company now will become one of InternetBay’s  member companies.

Hedlin AB will among other things participate at InternetBay PartneringEvent on November 24th-25th.

InTime improves SL’s customer service

by Lisa Lundgren on June 29, 2010

SL improves information on service disruption
After the severe winter chaos, Stockholm Lokaltrafik will significantly improve information for travelers. The information will be made available as messages to travelers’ mobile phones and computers.
InTime is developing a Web service in which passengers may subscribe to a selection of disturbance information. The web service is shown as a layer on sl.se and as a standalone web page, opened by a link from sl.se. Selection is made on the means of traffic monitoring as desired; commuter train, metro, local track or bus. Information sent through the service is based on “SL-traffic right now.”

Messages of notices should initially be done via email and RSS service and preparation is made for other channels such as SMS, Facebook, Twitter and instant messaging. From the middle of July, a testing service is operational and after a trial period the service will be implemented permanently.

Elias Arnestrand, SL’s business manager for the traffic channel, justifying the choice of supplier: “InTime has a very competitive price and for the mission appropriate competence profile. They specialize in subscription services and SMS services and have previously supplied a traffic information service for road users on the Southern Link to City of Stockholm and also runs a nationwide service subscription to service disruption.”

New customer
Norrbotten County Council is a new user of InTime Reminder. Both public dental clinics and other clinics is now reminding patients of their visiting hours by SMS. At the start 15:th of june, 54 clinics is connected via county council care administrative system VAS.
